Where is the Line?

Where is the line?

I often find myself far from it.

Either I am moving too far past the line or am so far behind it that I can no longer see it.

Truth be told, I don’t know if I ever saw it.

Was I ever looking for it?

What exactly am I trying to prove?

To others that I am not crazy,

That I am called

That I am somebody worth choosing

To myself that am not weak, incapable, incompetent but am worthy of existence

Worthy of air

Worthy to take up space in the world

To God that I am not a failure.

I have spent my life proving.

Chasing love, climbing mountains, taking care of everyone and everything.

I reach for this stars, fall short and submit in the fetal position.

There doesn’t seem to be an inbetween.

I hope to one day learn how to live free-

Free in God

Free in the world

Free in my own being.

I pray my soul releases me.

God show me how.

Holy Spirit:

Jennifer,

You are free. You always have been. Walk like it. Know it. Live in it. You and you alone create your own prison. You don’t work for the world. Live to honor and love me. Your joy is not found in others, but in the peace and solitude you have in me. Let us from this day forward, live with and for our love for one another and let that love spill over to the world. This is life made easy. This is how I designed it to be.

Question of the day

Are you experiencing the freedom granted to us in Christ?

If not, bring it to the Lord. Ask Him what's keeps you caged and to release you from what's keeps you bound.

Scripture of the day

Galatians 5:1

Freedom in Christ
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
