Basking in the Love of God

Published on 25 June 2026 at 07:48

Today I arise basking in love.

I feel loved, supported, seen, understood, guided, taught, led.

I feel an overwhelming sense of protection that is bringing me profound peace.

God used me so powerfully yesterday to deliver an amazing word to His people.

It was Him moving me aside and speaking directly to them.

He spent the day leading me, providing the steps that I needed to take throughout the day.

I reflected on the 2 things that God desires me to do that I tried and failed several times and have fallen short in.

I think about all of the ways in which I have ran, fallen short, back slid, disobeyed, doubted, shook my fist at God.

And in that He has not left me, turned His back on me, nor changed His mind about me.

My actions should have disqualified me, but how can that be so, my actions didn’t qualify me.

I was chosen by God before I took a breath until my last breath.

I’m reminded of how Abraham created an Ishmael and doubted God , but yet is known as the Father of Faith. Even Paul recounts that He didn’t waiver in his faith?

David is known as a man after God’s own heart even after his adulterous affair with another man’s wife whom He had a baby with, had someone else murder the husband, and then married her.

I am realizing that what is important is not how I see myself, which changes daily- one moment a warrior for Christ, another- a hopeless, weak, defeated failure.

What is important is how God sees me.

First and foremost, He sees me as His daughter who loves Him with all her heart and is doing the best she can to follow Him.

It changes the way how I see myself, when I look through the lens of my Heavenly Father.

This is my comfort.

I am in a lifelong journey and relationship with Jesus.

Where He is taking me, I do not know.

Will I struggle to get there, at times.

Will I get there, yes, because He is the driver, knows where we are going, nothing can stop Him from getting there and I’m rolling with Him.

How am I still worthy?

How does He still love me?

Why does He still want to use me?

How in the world am I still qualified?

I leave this all wrapped in the mystery of God which I will simply remain in awe of.

I am thankful this morning for a God who will never leave me nor forsake me.

Since that word has been honored by God, I am reassured that the entirety of His word holds truth in my life and will soon manifest along with its promises of provision, safety, a finished work, a plan meant to prosper me and steps to get there, teaching, counsel, healing, abundance, rest, peace, and a love that will endure all.

I am not imprisoned by a slave master who has no concern for my well-being, whether I live or die or is only in it for personal gain.

I am with my Father, my brother, my friend, my comforter who loves me.

The angels assigned to me, my destiny helpers are for me, and sees me rightfully as just a girl who just loves Jesus.

I realized that there are more for me than against me and those who are for me are guiding me into destiny.

Let’s go.

Holy Spirit,

Jennifer,

I know you love me. Your heart is for me. It always has and you know what, it will always be. You may have difficulty doing some of the things that I have asked you and struggle with the way I have asked you to live, but I have pushed you to extremes. I have asked you to do what I don’t ask of others. You have done a lot. See yourself not through your shortcomings, see yourself through all you have accomplished in Me and your heart for me. Your heart is pure. You love me so much. I feel and receive your love daily. You struggle because you love me so much and hate the idea of failing me. You struggle because of the enemy keeps firing up your flesh to focus on yourself instead of me. Mostly, you struggle from all of what you didn’t get in life-freedom, ease, love, support and you desperately just want to finally give that to yourself. Jennifer, I know you. I know you better than you know yourself. We are in this together. You can trust that I know how to get you to where I am taking you. Just trust me and soon you will see that We have arrived at our destination. Soon, you will see Me.

Question of the day

Do you see rightfully as a child of God?

Along this journey we can begin to get caught up in task accomplishment. Our perfectionism wants us to get the A+. Our need to want to be loved and seen as a worthy elite individual puts on a path to try to earn and prove in our walk with God. When we fall short of the goals placed in from of us, we drown in disappointment and can turn not just on God but on ourselves.

We have to remember that God is calling us to live in ways foreign to us that push us beyond our perceived limits- doing things we never have been able to do or could see ourselves doing, going places that are beyond our imagination. We will be challenged. We will fall short. We will wrestle and struggle with God at times. BUT, we also will triumph, have many victories, grow and mature in every aspect of being and life. God knows you love Him and He loves you. Today, take a deep breath. Exhale. Feel God’s presence. Feel God’s love and know that you will never be able to escape that love. Relax. You are safe. All is well.

Now keep going. God’s got you and He’s not going to let you go.
